General Manager of Lidl Serbia, Tomislav Šapina gave a statement on the Lidl entering the Serbian market with the opening of the first 16 stores.

“The first days of Lidl’s work in Serbia went in the face of a long-awaited encounter. I visited a large number of shops and was caught up with positive energy that could be felt. Consumers are primarily thankful for giving us confidence, and we hope that they will continue to buy from us. After the “celebrating” prices for the opening, we will continue to make the quality available.
I would also like to thank our employees – they have enabled the opening of all 16 stores to go in the best possible way and add a seal of affection to the impression of the purchase. We did our best to understand and apologise if anyone experienced any inconvenience.
After these opening, we will continue to expand the network of shops, in order to be available to as many citizens as possible, and by the end of the year, there will be another 7 stores in Belgrade with Ada, Vršac, Indjija, Jagodina, Kikinda, Kruševac and Pančevo,” said General Manager of Lidl Serbia, Tomislav Šapina.
