Representatives of 44 countries have been invited to the first meeting of the European political community, which will be held on October 6 in Prague, including the leaders of the countries of the Western Balkans, Turkey and Britain, the world media reports citing sources in Brussels.

The invitations were sent by European Council President Charles Michel and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fijala, whose country holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In addition to the EU member states, the leaders of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia have been invited, who should also be joined by leaders from Great Britain, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Moldova, Iceland, Georgia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein.

In addition to Charles Michel, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will be present at the meeting.

The first meeting will be at the level of heads of state and government on October 6 in Prague, ahead of the EU summit on 7 October.
