‘Don’t let it Burst’, the campaign of Hemofarm Foundation for prevention of high blood pressure, was awarded the Silver Drum award in the category of OOH /Out-of-Home/ advertising at 25th Golden Drum International Festival, organised in Portorož (Slovenia) this year.
Golden Drum is the most important festival of creativity and advertising in Central and Eastern Europe. More than 1,000 works were admitted to the fair, including creative works from Italy and Spain. Hemofarm Foundation accomplished the campaign for the prevention of high blood pressure, which was awarded at this year’s festival, with the aid of the New Moment agency.
Bearing in mind that high blood pressure is currently the most widespread disease, as well as that each second citizen of Serbia suffers from high blood pressure, Hemofarm Foundation conducted the ‘Don’t let it Burst’ national campaign this year with the aim of improving the health culture and encouraging citizens to check their blood pressure on a regular basis.
‘The award we won at this, 25th Festival, symbolically coincided with the 25th birthday of Hemofarm Foundation. We found it particularly important to do something significant for our citizens in this year of our jubilee. If we managed to save even one life with this educational campaign on the importance of high blood pressure prevention, it would be the best award for us’, Suzana Đorđević, Director of Hemofarm Foundation pointed out.
As part of the ‘Don’t let it Burst’ campaign, supported by the Ministry of Health and Dr Milan Jovanović Batut Public Health Institute, Hemofarm Foundation also launched the initiative to have the National High Blood Pressure Day established in Serbia. In order to call the attention to the importance of prevention and appropriate treatment of this insidious disease, citizens were provided with the opportunity to check their blood pressure-free of charge throughout the country during this campaign, and Hemofarm Foundation donated 300 blood pressure monitors to 81 healthcare institutions in Serbia.
