IKEA Serbia has appointed Aleksandar Rajčević as its new Market Manager, signalling a new chapter as the company posts strong growth and outlines ambitious expansion strategies.
With 17 years of experience within the Swedish retail giant, Rajčević will oversee operations in Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš, as well as planning studios in New Belgrade and Novi Sad.
The company recorded an 8.7% increase in total sales and a remarkable 17.7% rise in products sold for fiscal 2024.
IKEA attributes part of this success to a €7.6 million investment in permanent price reductions across nearly half its range—a strategic move aimed at deepening consumer trust.
Enhancing customer convenience, the New Belgrade planning studio has been expanded to offer 100 home furnishing items for immediate pick-up, alongside a new delivery and return centre.
Looking ahead, IKEA aims to open a new planning studio in Čačak by late 2025, pending approvals, and to expand its storage and office facilities in the capital.
Rajčević succeeds Strahinja Urošević, now Commercial Director for Southeast Europe.
