Association of Automobile Journalists of Serbia and Apatinska Pivara (The Apatin Brewery) have once again prepared activations for all visitors of the International Car Show „DDOR BG Car Show 06“ to emphasize the importance of responsible consumption of alcohol and risks of driving under the influence as part of the now-traditional campaign under the slogan „Kad pijem, ne vozim“ („When I drink, I don’t drive“).
Car lovers found the activations with the „beer goggles“ most interesting – the Mega Wire that tests patience, stability and hand coordination of the driver’s hand, finding and unlocking the appropriate lock on the car, proper buckling of the safety belt, as well as the table of traffic signs that the visitors were to match to each other, wearing the beer googles.
„Together with our partner, the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, we invest continual efforts into raising awareness of the population on responsible behaviour – towards ourselves and other participants in traffic, advising people not to drink and drive. The message we send to drivers is that, if they have consumed alcohol, they should wait for a bus, take a walk, call a taxi or a friend,“ said a representative of Apatin Brewery.
The campaign „When I drink, I don’t drive“, which has now been implemented for a full decade, raises awareness among the public that alcohol can affect both judgement and motor abilities, even in minute quantities.
