Humanitarian aid from the State of Qatar intended to fight the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Serbia.

The plane delivered approximately 470,000 surgical masks, 70,000 high-quality N95 masks, 85,000 epidemiological masks, tens of thousands of gloves, goggles, visors, surgical coats, 4,700 overalls and more.

Qatar’s ambassador to Serbia H.E. Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al Thani expressed hope that this assistance will contribute to overcoming the crisis and returning life to normal, as well as to continuing to strengthen relations between the two friendly countries. Qatar thus once again joined the group of friendly countries that have contributed to Serbia significantly to strengthen its capacities in the fight against the coronavirus, he said and underlined that our people and state will not forget the gesture of friendship and solidarity.

On behalf of the government and the President of the Republic, Dačić expressed his gratitude to the State of Qatar for responding to Serbia’s call in difficult times of the fight against COVID-19.
