Prime Minister Ana Brnabić was the keynote speaker at The Economist gala dinner on 30th November as a part of “The World in 2018” conference in Hong Kong.
In one of the biggest annual events organised by this renowned British magazine, Prime Minister Brnabić spoke about current political and economic reforms in Serbia, the European integration process, relations with the EU and Russia, as well as cooperation with China – primarily under the auspices of the “Belt and Road” initiative.
Alongside PM Ana Brnabić, the conference’s main participants were Executive Director of “Save the Children” and former Prime Minister of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, and Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam.
The focus of this year’s Economist Conference was geopolitics and economics. Conference participants discussed global trends – from business and politics, to science and culture. The conference and gala dinners are attended by political leaders and representatives of multinational companies, as well as members of the diplomatic corps, scientists, athletes and artists.
