There is an enormous interest in traveling by express train on the Belgrade to Novi Sad route, so all the tickets for the weekend are sold out, said Srbija Voza marketing director Dragana Stanković to Tanjug.
“The interest is so great that some regional trains started with a double composition”, said Stanković.
She pointed out that the promotional ticket price of 300 dinars in each direction is valid until 30 April for the Soko high-speed intercity train, which attains 200 kilometers per hour, and for the regional train, which stops along the way and travels at 160 kilometers per hour, while children up to six years of age who do not need a special seat travel free of charge.
Stanković said that the journey by express takes 36 minutes, and passengers can buy food and drinks from stewards and stewardesses.
She added that regional trains take 56 minutes from Belgrade to Novi Sad due to delays at stations, but that these trains are also made by the Swiss company Stadler, and as comfortable as the express.
