Numerous wine lovers from the countries of the region, representatives of the diplomatic corps, institutions, the business sector and the media, public figures, as well as associates and friends of the Tikveš winery had the first opportunity to taste the new wine from this year’s record harvest of 28 million kilograms of grapes.

According to the first estimates of oenologists and wine enthusiasts, at the traditional Ninth Tikveš Festival of Wine, he received great criticism with the accent that there is great potential for winning many new medals, awards and high results in renowned world wine competitions, which will overcome the success of the past years.

At this year’s festival, for the first time, the best “Tikveš” wine was introduced. It is a red wine from the first harvest of the grape variety “Shiraz”, which was planted four years ago in the vineyards of the Lepovo locality.

As a socially responsible company Tikveš this year enabled all festival visitors to donate funds that will be used for the Association for Humanitarian Social Development “Project of Happiness”. It is the first free school for music and art intended for children from socially vulnerable families, implemented under the project titled “Guitar, Race and Music” during which children from these families will be able to use and develop their creative potentials, talents and affinities. To all visitors who donated for humanitarian purposes “Tikveš” gifted a bottle of the young wine.

The Tikveš Youth Wine Festival is the first and only such kind of event in the region and plays a significant role in building a wine culture.
