The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development stated that at today’s session, the Serbian government adopted the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2021 to 2025 called “Power of Knowledge“.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic said that this strategy recognises knowledge and science as the basis of the future economic progress and education development.

The Strategy of scientific and technological development enables the continuation of the reforms launched in this area and passes measures that will create the necessary conditions for a dynamic development of science, research and innovation, Ruzic said.

The aim is to improve the science and technology innovation system and thus enable a faster development of Serbia and its integration into the European research space.

The strategy prescribes additional strengthening of scientific research institutions and investments in infrastructure, so that they would be recognisable at the regional and European level and capable of solving complex problems independently.

The strategy also envisions greater investment in individuals, especially young scientists.
