Prime Minister Ana Brnabic wished Italian Ambassador to Belgrade Carlo Lo Cascio, officials and the people of Italy a happy Day of the Republic of Italy

During this meeting, PM Brnabic said that, even in the most difficult crisis that has befallen the world in recent history, Serbia, as a friend and strategic partner, has been with Italy and the Italian people.

The Prime Minister added that we have an important task ahead of us – to overcome the crisis caused by the pandemic with joint forces and solidarity, in order to approach the recovery of our economies.

Ambassador Carlo Lo Cascio expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid in the form of protective equipment that Serbia sent to Italy, emphasising that it is a confirmation of solidarity and friendship between our countries.

Speaking about the recovery of the economy in the coming period, he expressed confidence that Italian investments in Serbia will soon continue, as an incentive for economic recovery after the crisis.

Brnabic conveyed her gratitude to the Italian Ambassador for the country’s continuous support for Serbia’s European integration and pointed out the importance of continuing the dialogue and bilateral visits of officials from the two countries.
