The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, to mark the International Francophonie Day, the Francophonie flag was raised on the ministry’s mast in front of the building.

The International Organization of Francophonie has 88 members united by the use and care of the French language, and has an important role in promoting peace, democracy, human rights, solidarity and sustainable development.

At the 17th Francophonie Summit in 2018 in Yerevan, Serbia became an associate member of this international organization and is striving to gain the status of full member at one of the next summits.
