France has once again emerged as the leading European startup ecosystem, according to the European Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA).
For the second year running, the nation’s commitment to innovation policies and fostering inclusive, diverse environments has propelled it to the top, with an impressive score of 93%.

Key to this success are initiatives like the French Tech Mission, which has been vital since its inception in 2013.
Coupled with funding programs from Bpifrance, including the i-Lab competition, France has built an infrastructure that nurtures early-stage startups.
The country’s tech and research sectors thrive, with more than 16,000 new startups founded by 2021, representing a surge in innovation.
With strategic investments, a focus on social inclusion, and a streamlined regulatory approach, France’s startup ecosystem is now an industrial force—shaping Europe’s entrepreneurial future.
