Serbia has exported the first quantities of fresh eggs to Albania, the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry told Tanjug.
The ministry adds that this is the first time that Serbian producers of fresh eggs have exported to Albania, and that the new market has been secured thanks to the Open Balkans initiative.
They emphasized that this work is important for further strengthening the export of Serbian food products at a time when there are increasing global supply chain interruptions caused by the war in Ukraine.
Serbia has a trade surplus with Albania, which will now be further increased. The Ministry points out that last year Serbia exported food for a record amount of five billion dollars.
