Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić and the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, H.E. Michael Davenport, officially opened a satellite unit of the Draževac Primary School in Poljane, Municipality of Obrenovac.
The EU has donated a total of €9.5 million in financial assistance for the postflood reconstruction of Obrenovac.
The EU also allocated €130,000 via its Flood Relief Programme, with the money used to build and equip a new school, spanning 225 square metres.
“The new school is equipped with the latest teaching tools so that pupils can enjoy attending it more,” said Serbian PM Vučić.
“The EU will continue to help Obrenovac through its flood prevention programme, in order to ensure that no such disasters reoccur,” said Head of the EU Delegation Michael Davenport.
