The programme “Support to SME Development in Serbia”, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with €3.5 million, is very significant for Serbia, said Economy Minister Željko Sertić at the final conference of the programme, held on 26th May.
“It is very important for Serbia to strengthen the economic sector,” said Minister Sertić, who added that the new government should keep this sector as its focus. Speaking about the project Year of Entrepreneurship, Mr Sertić mentioned that out of the current 33 programmes, 25 are active, with 16 billion dinars having already been provided.
H.E. Michael Davenport, Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia, expressed support and satisfaction with the work of EBRD Serbia and the results of the joint work with Serbia’s SMEs.
