Danish company VELUX, which is the global leader in the manufacture of roof windows, celebrated the 75th anniversary of the foundation of VELUX Group last year. For this occasion, the global competition was organized for sports clubs which require the renovation of club rooms and have the need for roof windows.

Many clubs worldwide responded to this contest including the athletic club Spartak from Subotica. At the end of the last year, the club was elected as one of the few in Europe which were provided with the donation of six VELUX roof windows. The local sales VELUX company in Serbia had the honour to conduct this donation earlier this year when they were celebrating its jubilee on the local market.

“For the past 20 years, we have been pleased with the opportunity to deal with the noble and inspiring activities such as introducing daylight and fresh air in people’s lives. Products and technologies are changing, but what will always remain as the primary human need is precisely sufficient amount of the daylight and fresh air in rooms where we are staying,” – said Tamara Milovanović, director of VELUX Serbia, adding: “Athletic club “Spartak” from Subotica was chosen with the aim to send a message to all young people involved in sports and to communicate that there is still someone who appreciates their effort and devotion and that we will always be there to support them.”

Robert Tot, director of the PUC Stadion, testified about the importance and changes that this donation brought: „We are very pleased that VELUX company has decided to specifically support our club from Subotica. That is especially important for young people who are our future. They should be provided with better conditions in order to make a safer and nicer future for all of us.

The gym, where the replacement of the windows has been made, now looks great and has far more air and light. We are also confident that it will no longer leak. I am using this opportunity to thank people from VELUX and to invite them to join us when we celebrate the accomplishments of our athletes in the future because with this donation they became a part of our success.

VELUX, known for its high quality in the development, innovative approach to business and its socially responsible activities, brings the refreshment to the world of young athletes.
