Djokovic reached the record-breaking eighth title in Melbourne after a big fight and four hours and three minutes of play, and his triumph at the Australian Open will also bring him back into the first place on the ATP list, where he will be in front of Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

This was the 26th finals of the biggest tournaments for the Serbian tennis player, who reached his 17th career grand slam title.
