Disney+ streaming platform for films and serials from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic will be coming to Serbia this summer, according to the American media.
The launch of the platform has been confirmed in a total of 42 countries, 11 of them new territories in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Disney+ offers ad-free streaming with an ever-growing collection of exclusive original content, including feature films, documentaries, action and animated serials, and shorter formats, according to a statement from the Communication Laboratory, an independent regional PR agency quoted by the Hina news agency.
In addition to accessing Disney’s long backlog of incredible film and television titles, they add, Disney+ is also an exclusive platform for streaming the latest productions from Walt Disney Studios.
Through the new Star entertainment brand, Disney+ offers the latest releases of 20th Century Studios, Disney Television Studios, FX, Searchlight Pictures and much more.
Apart from Serbia, Disney+ has been arriving in other countries in the region since the summer: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia and on the territory of Kosovo.
A novelty for Disney was announced by Walt Disney CEO Karey Burke, who said she wanted the company to drastically increase inclusiveness in its productions by the end of the year, and that up to 50 percent of Disney characters will be members of the LGBTQ community or ethnic minorities.
