Coca-Cola HBC Serbia has presented its fourth local Report on Sustainable Business for 2016, which shows the company’s results in the field of environmental protection, community investment and employee engagement.

This year’s presentation of the report was dedicated to promoting social entrepreneurship, through which the company and its numerous partners support individuals and organisations in becoming economically independent and thereby creating a better socio-economic status for themselves.

“We view sustainable business as an investment in a better and safer future – not only when it comes to our operating results, but also the future of our employees, the environment and the community as a whole. The past year brought new ambitious goals for Coca-Cola HBC Group in this field, and our operations will continue to contribute to their realisation in all defined areas while remaining consistent to our strategic commitment to expand our operations in a responsible, profitable and sustainable way. This year we want to motivate others and further support social entrepreneurship because it is only through the continuous growth and development of the local community that our business can also develop. That is why we want to inspire individuals, but also other companies, to help in the development of social entrepreneurship as much as possible because that is the future of sustainable development for the local economy and the economy as a whole,” said Aleksandar Ružević, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia.

The company last year invested more than 38 million dinars and 500 voluntary hours in community development.

As confirmation of its exceptional results, in 2016 Coca-Cola HBC Serbia won, for the second consecutive year, the award for the best operations in Coca-Cola HBC Group.
