Millions of people around the world today the World CleanUP Day with the removal of waste from nature, and the action was supported by the citizens of our capital.
On this occasion, Let’s Do It! Serbia, supported by the celebrities, cleaned the banks of the Danube river near Ada Huja, restoring this attractive location to its true splendour.
“I have to say I’m thrilled how quickly we’ve been able to clean everything up. It’s just an indication of how little effort it takes to make our environment cleaner and more beautiful. Thanks to these wonderful people for the enthusiasm and goodwill to take the time and get involved in this fantastic global action,” said Bojana Ordinachev at the conclusion of the action.
In addition to cleaning, actor Stefan Buzurovic led the program and on this occasion proved to be a top motivator. Still, while commenting on the action, he was a little more modest: “Honestly, it’s not really difficult to motivate these hardworking people. They are truly a wonderful example of how we should treat our environment, and the dedication with which they have taken action is remarkable.”
