The Italian textile company, Calzedonia has opened a fifth plant in Serbia, in the Vojvodinian town of Kula. The company already operates in Sombor and Subotica. The new plant, which covers 2000sq/m, was opened by President Aleksandar Vučić and CEO of Calzedonia, Sandro Veronesi.
“Calzedonia has a plan to open more specialized factories in the region, which will cooperate with each other,” Veronesi said.
“We are confident that there’s a better future ahead for Serbia, which needs to be based on good income and opportunities”, Veronesi said and thanked everyone who helped with the implementation of the project.
Calzedonia, which produces socks, bathing suits and underwear, already has factories in Subotica, Sombor, Ruma and Apatin.
