In Belgrade on the 15th of May, the Slovenian Business Club, in collaboration with the National Employment Service of Serbia, hosted a successful business breakfast focused on presenting public calls and subsidies available through the employment service.
The event provided a platform for attendees to familiarize themselves with various active employment policy measures and other services offered by the National Employment Service.
Milena Mihajlović, representing the Slovenian Business Club, welcomed HR representatives from various companies, expressing her enthusiasm for another productive meeting. The keynote presentation was delivered by Darko Marjanović, a specialist in employment mediation methodology and employer relations from the National Employment Service. He outlined the support and resources available to employers, including assistance with hiring, access to a candidate database, psychological assessments, and free advertising opportunities on the service’s website and notice boards.
During his presentation, Marjanović detailed public calls and competitions aimed particularly at employers and the employment of individuals with disabilities. He highlighted subsidies available for self-employment, hiring unemployed persons from harder-to-employ categories, and wage subsidies for individuals with disabilities lacking work experience. He emphasized the importance of internship programs for youth with higher and vocational education, practical knowledge acquisition, and employer-requested training programs to boost employability across the country.
The event concluded with a networking session, offering participants the opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences in the employment sector.
