Belgrade will host the major Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) summit on December 3rd and 4th, where discussions will cover various topics related to the development and application of artificial intelligence.
According to a statement from the government, the summit will bring together representatives from over 40 countries, global AI experts, representatives of international organizations, industry leaders, and members of the academic community.
The event is jointly organized by the National Assembly of Serbia, the Government of Serbia, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the Office for IT and eGovernment, and the United Nations Development Program, with the support of the President of Serbia and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
This year’s summit aims to promote the responsible development of artificial intelligence and the use of this technology for the benefit of society as a whole.
The signing of the Belgrade Declaration is planned, focusing on these goals, with more than 500 experts expected to attend, including over 70 speakers across 25 sessions.
Among them will be Canadian computer scientist Yoshua Bengio, best known for his work on artificial neural networks.
