The BEL MEDIC general hospital has signed a contract with the AIR PANNONIA airline from Osijek stipulating air transportation of patients thus improving the quality of the medical services that the hospital provides.

This is the first healthcare facility in Serbia to have concluded such a contract with an airline company.

Director of BEL MEDIC, mr sci. med. Dr Jasmina Knežević signed the contract on behalf of the hospital saying that such cooperation will increase patient health safety regardless of their location.

„In practice, signing of this contract and the beginning of our cooperation means that the patient can be airlifted to the BEL MEDIC general hospital or other healthcare facility in the Republic of Serbia from any place in Europe in an incredibly short amount of time“, Dr Ivana Petrović, Medical Director of the BEL MEDIC general hospital says and adds that foreign citizens, who sustain injury in Serbia and want to continue their treatment in their own country, can use this air transportation service to get to the desired destination in the shortest possible time.
