Air Serbia has launched a new direct route between Belgrade and the Greek island of Mykonos, with the first JU554 flight taking off this morning.

The airline stated that the seasonal connection will run twice weekly—on Mondays and Fridays—throughout the summer months.

According to the company, Serbia’s ambassador to Greece, Nikola Nedeljković, welcomed the inaugural flight, underlining the importance of strengthening travel links between the two countries.

Boško Rupić, Air Serbia’s Director for Commercial and Strategy, said that Greece had consistently ranked among the most visited destinations for Serbian tourists.

He explained that the airline had expanded its presence in the region accordingly, now flying to seven destinations across Greece—Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Corfu, Chania, Heraklion, and Mykonos.

Rupić added that by introducing direct flights to Mykonos, the airline aimed to offer passengers faster and more convenient access to what he described as one of the most attractive summer destinations, known for its exclusive beaches, top-tier gastronomy, and lively nightlife.

Air Serbia also noted that passengers travelling from Mykonos could easily connect through Belgrade to cities across its network, including Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Vienna, and more.
