Many parents hope that their children will marry and give them grandchildren. However, the way that Arthur Brooks chose to “move things along” has left his 48-year old son, Baron, more than a little embarrassed.
Arthur took out a full-page ad in the Coeur d’Alene Press to find his son a bride. He specifies a preference for women aged 34-38 without children but adds that the matter is flexible.
“My father did this without my consent. I can’t even describe to you how embarrassing and ridiculous this is,” said Baron Brooks. “Ever since he went into congestive heart failure he’s done some really kooky stuff. And this one takes the cake.”
“No sense in defusing a bomb once it’s already gone off,” Baron says philosophically. “It’s worth a shot. Can’t hurt.”
