A total of 30 snow and ice sculptures were selected for display at the China Changchun International Ice and Snow Sculpture Exhibition last month.
The selection started in November, and the organising committee eventually received proposals for 51 ice sculpture designs and 133 snow designs from professional sculptors and enthusiasts from home and abroad.
Over 100 sculptors from seven countries were invited to the square in the Changchun World Sculpture Park and the Changchun Sculpture Museum square to show their talents.
Sculpturing has become a new tradition in Changchun after twenty years’ efforts by the local government.
Now, artistic sculptures can be found in many streets and neighbourhoods.
