Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during his official visit to Belgrade, emphasized Serbia’s role as a reliable partner in the Balkans.
He highlighted growing bilateral cooperation in defense, mining, energy, transportation, industry, and healthcare. Tokayev also noted plans to exchange expertise in agriculture, particularly in organic farming, veterinary science, and biotechnology, while fostering partnerships between educational and research institutions.
In the presence of Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Tokayev, representatives of Serbia and Kazakhstan signed ten agreements and memorandums. Key agreements included cooperation in defense, education, tourism, and agriculture, as well as a readmission treaty. Other memorandums covered space exploration for peaceful purposes, statistical data exchange, and collaboration between libraries and strategic research institutes.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to multilateral cooperation on international and regional matters, underscoring aligned positions on global geopolitical challenges. Tokayev expressed optimism about the continued strengthening of ties between the two countries across various sectors.
