This year, Mlekoprodukt won another important recognition for its social engagement. Dairy from Zrenjanin, part of the international group Savencia Fromage & Dairy, is among the companies dedicated to sustainable business that were invited to the conference CSR & ESG FORUM – Compliance, Performance, Leadership, where it was given an award for its involvement in the donation plan of food for the most vulnerable, its contribution to the fight against poverty and achieving the goals of sustainable development in 2022.

This year’s conference was held on 9 December at the Metropol Palace Hotel in Belgrade, and Mlekoprodukt, as the organizers stated, was recognized as an important donor and partner in achieving the goals of sustainable development. The final, festive event of the forum was the awarding of a recognition for donating food to the most vulnerable, contributing to the fight against poverty and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in 2022.

Bojana Momčilov, manager for communication and CSR of Mlekoprodukt, thanked the forum for the recognitions on behalf of the company and herself.

“I am honoured to receive the award on behalf of Mlekoprodukt, as it confirms our company’s exceptional commitment to socially responsible business. I am especially pleased by the fact that I found myself on the list of 58 CSR professionals in Serbia, 80 percent of whom are women”.

Last year, at the CSR conference held in Dorćol Platz, Mlekoprodukt was also recognized as one of the most important food donors in Serbia, and Mlekoprodukt representatives stated that this award is proof of the company’s strategic commitment to the policy of social responsibility.

“Mlekoprodukt continuously works to achieve the goals of ethical business and is committed to social responsibility both locally and nationally, in accordance with its permanent commitment and the strategic determination of the Savencia Fromage & Dairy group, to which it belongs”, said the representatives of Mlekoprodukt at that time.

The conference covered a wide variety of topics, including ESG criteria as the key to sustainable financing and green transition, then the presentation of the list of CSR professionals and the promotion of third-generation participants of the CSR practice programme, a discussion of the best business practices in accordance with the principles of sustainability… Successful business projects that contribute to the fulfillment of the Agenda for Sustainable Development until 2030 were presented, companies that incorporated sustainable development goals into their operations and sustainability strategies, and that will receive the Champions of Sustainability award for their engagement.

CSR & ESG FORUM is organized by the Forum for Responsible Business and the Smart Collective in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, within the integrated ESG programme supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO. The conference is additionally supported through the Platform “Sustainable Development for All” supported by the governments of Switzerland and Germany, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under the project Public Finance Reform – Agenda 2030. Friends of the conference are Delhaize Serbia, Elixir Group, Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and Moravacem, and the conference was supported by media from Represent Communications, Bizlife, Nova Ekonomija, InStore and Daily Green.
