The presidents of Serbia and Montenegro, Tomislav Nikolić and Filip Vujanović, opened the new “Montenegrin House” in Belgrade, assessing that this building should contribute to further deepening the two countries’ friendship.
“Montenegro has decided for this to be the ‘Montenegrin House’ in Belgrade, which will not only be defined by diplomacy but rather with maximally affirm the partnership with Serbia in the interests of the two countries and peoples, with the function of advancing relations,” said Vujanović.
“This house of yours in the Serbian capital, a gift of Montenegro on the day when it celebrates its statehood, I see as an open door of friendship and as the strengthening of otherwise strong ties between our peoples and countries,” said President Nikolić at the ceremony.
The formal opening ceremony of the “Montenegrin House” was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, and members of the political, cultural and public life of Serbia and the Montenegrin diaspora.
