The closing ceremony of the Mathematical Grammar School Cup, which took place at the National Assembly, saw the school’s director, Srdjan Ognjanović, present a letter of gratitude to Tatjana Matić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, for her “selfless support given to young talent” and for “long-standing successful cooperation”.
Vladimir Kostić, President of the Serbian Academy of Art and Sciences, also gave a speech welcoming the Cup’s contestants and adding that they have to continue developing their talents by being committed to science and work.
Almost 140 pupils aged up to 15 from 13 European countries, divided into 25 teams, participated in this year’s competition, covering mathematics, physics and informatics. The competition’s main sponsor was Piraeus Bank, Serbia.
