The presidents of Serbia and France, Aleksandar Vučić and Emmanuel Macron, laid wreaths at the Monument of Thanksgiving to France on Kalemegdan Fortress in the central Belgrade.
Macron greeted in Serbian language thousands of citizens gathered, Serbian President Vučić and Mayor Zoran Radojičić.

France loves you. Serbia is in our hearts. Today and forever, Macron said.
France knows it owes Serbia from the time of the Great War to its soldiers who died for the freedom today. France will never forget the sacrifice of the Serbian people, the French president said.
