U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Kyle Scott, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the completion of a humanitarian project to fund the refurbishing of three buildings in New Belgrade for their conversion into facilities to cater for people living with disabilities.
The U.S. European Command (EUCOM) invested approximately $312,000 in this project, via its Humanitarian Assistance Program.
The facilities, which will provide care for more than 100 people living with disabilities in the area, will be managed by the New Belgrade Centre for the Provision of Care to Children, the Elderly and Other Individuals with Disabilities. These people rank among the most vulnerable citizens in Serbia and around the world.
