Last night, the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce held a traditional #Gala evening for its member companies, partners and friends of the Chamber. This year’s event had Cabaret as its theme, so the guests could enjoy a program designed by stage artists with dance and magic tricks. On the same occasion, the Chamber awarded annual Grand Prix prizes in two categories as well as special prizes for members.
At the very beginning, the guests were addressed by the President of the Chamber Dragan Stokic, who thanked for the support to sponsors and guests who made another Gala evening possible, emphasizing that members of the Chamber have always been and will be a pillar of the Chamber. He also stressed that this year’s special focus of the Chamber’s activities is on the #GreenAgenda, and that the Chamber, in order to support the Serbian economy in its green transition, decided to launch The Quest For Net Zero, and announced several conferences, webinars and roundtables. on the subject by the end of the year.
In his introductory address, The Ambassador of France H.E. Pierre Cochard reminded that Serbian-French economic relations are constantly strengthening and our cooperation is expanding with new, large projects. He thanked the French-Serbian business community for its work on strengthening these relations, as well as the participation of French companies in numerous socially responsible projects. He also drew attention to the importance of Serbia’s European integration, as well as the continuation of France’s strong support for Serbia’s European path.
The French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce then awarded the annual Grand Prix to the best companies and individuals. The Grand Prix for “Innovation” was won by MikroElektronika for a project called Planet Debug, the world’s first Hardware as a service solution for remote access. In the category of “Corporate Social Responsibility”, the award went to OTP Bank Serbia for the Generator Zero project, dedicated to supporting and rewarding innovative projects that represent sustainable solutions with a real and measurable impact on reducing carbon footprint, as one of today’s biggest challenges.
The Chamber also awarded two special prizes for special contribution to the work of the Chamber, the first went to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (VINCI Airports), for the most active company in the previous year, while the second prize went to the individual who contributed most to the promotion of the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce. in the hands of Mr. Nebojsa Nedeljkovic, from the company #Mecafor.
The dinner was performed by artists from the Terazije Theater, Magicians Piksi and Zeka and DJ Miss Millie. Before the opening ceremony, the guests gathered for a cocktail party where they enjoyed, with the sounds of the violin by Golden Noise, with a fantastic view of Kalemegdan.
