The Canadian Club and H.E. Ambassador Philip Pinnington hosted a reception to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
St Patrick’s Day is a public holiday in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador on the nearest Monday to 17th March each year. It celebrates the life of St. Patrick, a missionary who converted many of Ireland’s inhabitants to Christianity in the 5th century. His day is also celebrated by Irish culture around the world.
The reception was attended by Serbian Government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps and the Romanian community in Serbia, as well as business leaders, public figures and representatives of religious communities.
