The “Sukat Shalom” Synagogue in Belgrade hosted a formal reception on the occasion of the departure of H.E. Israeli Ambassador Josef Levi after a five-year term. In his farewell speech, Ambassador Levi thanked his Serbian friends for their cooperation, particularly Prime Minister Vučić and Minister Stefanović. He added that the flags of the two nations flying at the synagogue represent the past and future of the Israeli and Serbian people.
The formal event was attended by senior government officials and members of the diplomatic corps, while the Jewish Community in Belgrade presented Levi with a medal and a plaque of appreciation.
