The guests at the Belgrade Botanical Garden were welcomed by Swedish Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Jan Lundin on the occasion of marking country’s national day. 

Sweden commemorated its national day in memory of 1523 when Gustav Vasa was crowned king.

In his speech, ambassador Lundin emphasised the importance of good bilateral relations between Sweden and Serbia and pointed to the importance of Swedish assistance to Serbia in EU accession negotiations and the rapid opening of chapter 27 in negotiations related to ecology and environmental protection.

Representatives of political, cultural and diplomatic community of Serbia were present at the marking of the National Day of Sweden.
