The reputation and foreign policy position of Serbia is currently at a high level, perhaps the highest since the beginning of the Yugoslav crisis, said First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić, speaking at a ceremony marking the Day of Serbian diplomacy, held in the National Assembly of Serbia.
The ceremony commemorating the Day of Serbian diplomacy was attended by representatives of the Serbian government, parliament and state bodies, religious communities and senior representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as a large number of diplomats and public figures.
The Government of Serbia established the Day of Serbian diplomacy, which is celebrated to commemorate the establishment of the princely office of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Serbia, established on 29th May 1839.
