On the occasion of marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia, the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, in cooperation with the Belgrade’s Science and Technology Museum, organised the exhibition “Glass – Origin and Life”.

As part of this exhibition, Czech glassmakers from Czech studio Dechem demonstrated how the glass stove worked and discovered the secrets of their crafts, as well as presented the display of glass objects, photographs from Czech glass houses whose tradition dates back to the Middle Ages.

The Academy of Art and Design from Bratislava brought an exhibition of glass and jewellery of modern design “Correlation”.

Ambassador of Slovakia H.E. Dagmar Repčeková and the outgoing ambassador of the Czech Republic H.E. Ivana Hlavsova addressed the participants at the opening of the exhibition.
