An international conference “Viva Mandela” marking the centenary of the birth of Nelson Mandela, a great champion of freedom, human rights, democracy and equality, was held in the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade, and among the participants was Nelson Mandela’s grandson Ndab Mandela.

On behalf of the President of Serbia, the participants were greeted by the Secretary-General Nikola Selaković, who emphasised that he is proud Serbia supported liberation movements and democratic aspirations during the times when African nations fought colonialism and South Africa against the inhuman regime of apartheid.

Mr Manedela talked about his grandfather’s legacy and the challenges he faced during his lifetime.
