The Embassy of Canada in Serbia organised the Canada Days event in Novi Pazar from 7th to 9th March, in cooperation with local NGO Akademska Iniicijativa Forum 10. The event was supported by Novi Pazar City Hall, the Culture and Multimedia Centre of Novi Pazar and film distributor Megacom.
Ambassador Philip Pinnington gave the opening lecture at the Novi Pazar Culture Centre, in which he discussed the ‘Canadian Multicultural Mosaic’. The Ambassador also opened the exhibition ‘Dream, City Dreams’ by Canadian artist Heather Huston at the Multimedia Centre Gallery.
Novi Pazar’s film lovers were able to see Canadian 3D animated film children’s The Legend of Sarila, as well as the film Mommy, directed by Xavier Dolan, both of which were part of the Canadian contribution to this month’s celebration of the Francophonie in Serbia.
