Belgrade hosted the International Forum MITECO, with the aim of experts from the country and abroad providing answers and identifying opportunities for further action in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development.

During the one-day MITECO Forum, which was held this year for the fifth time, under the slogan “Today Responsibly, Tomorrow Sustainably”, some of the main conclusions place the essential application of the concept of systematic waste management in the focus, which is supported by the state and the private sector.

From the perspective of the economy, the importance of EU Accession Negotiation Chapter 27 was emphasised as being important to achieving demanding European standards, as well as investing in environmental issues and the circular economy.
