“Thank you, Serbia!” This is the key message that EKO Serbia wants to convey on its 15th anniversary, celebrating the company’s success in the country.

Over the past 15 years, EKO Serbia has been focusing all its activities on running its operations in alignment with its core vision—being consumers’ first choice, providing high-quality services and products, and caring for employees and the environment. Since its inception in Serbia, the company has invested more than 100 million euros in our country, employing more than 700 people through a network of 53 filling stations with plans to further expand and make its services available across the country.

Investing in people, increasing competitiveness in the Serbian market, and ensuring safety are the company’s top priorities. All this is best attested by consumers visiting our filling stations and using our services. Our filling stations see more than 1,000,000 visits a month, and our one-of-a-kind, locally developed loyalty program—the Smile Club—has more than 430,000 registered members.

On this occasion, the Group’s CEO Grigorios Stergioulis said, “Thank you, Serbia! Our business guarantees the energy security of the entire region in which the Hellenic Petroleum Group is present, and we want to take advantage of every opportunity for investing in the Serbian energy sector. The global energy sector is changing, especially in our field, which is significant for entire Europe for geopolitical reasons. Hellenic Petroleum is one of the most important energy groups in Southeast Europe, investing not only in refineries but also in electricity, renewable energy, natural gas, and research.”

The exclusive news is that the Hellenic Petroleum Group will take part in the LNG terminal project in Alexandroupoli with a 20% investment through its subsidiary Depa, whose 35% share is owned by the Group.

Roberto Karahannas, Hellenic Petroleum’s Domestic and International Retail General Manager for Greece and foreign markets, commented on this important celebration, “ The key to our success in the region is based on our one-of-a-kind DNA, which mandates that we produce top-quality fuel while respecting consumers, innovating, and applying social responsibility. This is just a small part of what we can contribute to the community and consumers who decide to choose us.”

Our 15-anniversary celebration also served as the right time to launch a social responsibility initiative to improve amenities at children’s resorts and rehabilitation facilities in five locations across Serbia by signing cooperation protocols with them and donating 1,000,000 dinars.

Making a statement on the company’s 15-year milestone in Serbia, EKO Serbia General Manager Mr. Vuk Radović said, “Our 15 years of business have been marked above all by our consumers, partners, suppliers, and employees who have been beside us all these years, their comments and suggestions improving our operations, while we made efforts to be better and more available year after year. By further investing in development and our products and services, we strive to maintain our position of an innovative international leader in the energy business.”
