The American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham) and the Belgrade Open School (BOŠ) organised a business breakfast under the heading “Work practices: building a bridge from education to a career”, during which AmCham members, managers in human resources, discussed the importance of professional work placements for young people, the unemployed and all those who want to gain work experience, and all with the aim of reducing the generally high rates of unemployment in the country.
The common messages from this meeting are the necessity of creating a more efficient regulatory framework for carrying out working practices and the need to raise awareness of the importance of providing a programme of work placement practices, as an unavoidable factor in the development of young people, increasing their chances of quickly and effectively engaging in the labour market and becoming competitive on that market.
