The Embassy of United Arab Emirates marked its 46th National Day with a reception at Belgrade’s Hyatt Regency Hotel. UAE National Day is celebrated annually on 2nd December, in remembrance of the date in 1971 when seven emirates united to form an alliance called the United Arab Emirates.

Addressing guests, Ambassador H.E. Juma Rashed Aldhaheri noted that relations between Serbia and the UAE are brotherly and based on principles of cooperation and mutual respect. With the end of his term in Serbia approaching, Ambassador Aldhaheri used this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state bodies for their support during the four years that he has been in Belgrade.

The celebrated was attended by the highest representatives of the Government of Serbia, members of the diplomatic corps, and figures from political and public life.
