The Cookathon Culinary Marathon was held as the closing event of the three-year Food for Tomorrow project of the Swedish Institute and the Embassy of Sweden in Serbia in cooperation with the Metro HoReCa Center in Belgrade.
The project explains the goals of sustainable development through food. The task was to prepare, from seasonal and local foods, two dishes that outline some of the goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
“Our intention was to point out, through the Food of Tomorrow, the importance of sustainable food, both for the health of each individual and for the preservation of the planet. For three years, the Embassy of Sweden in Serbia collaborated with the Swedish Institute to spread the idea of healthy food preparation to Serbia and the region. We have succeeded in raising environmental awareness,” said Deputy Ambassador of Sweden Joachim Waern.
