A reception was held at the White Palace by the Hungarian Embassy to mark Hungary’s National Day, commemorating the start of the revolution and the liberation struggle of 1956.

H.E. József Zoltán Magyar, the Hungarian Ambassador, welcomed a large number of guests, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, the Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Emanuel Giaufret, the Vice President of the Provincial Government, Sandra Božić, the President of the Assembly of the City of Novi Sad, Dina Vučinić, as well as representatives of local communities and business leaders.

In his speech, Ambassador Magyar emphasized the lasting friendship between Hungary and Serbia, as well as their shared goals and mutual respect.

The Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, Tomislav Žigmanov, extended his congratulations to all members of the Hungarian national community in Serbia on their national holiday.
