Australian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Julia Feeney, and her husband, Tony, in cooperation with the Niš Centre for Girls, hosted morning tea at the Australian ambassadorial residence in Belgrade.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the importance of promoting girls’ human rights in any society. With this in mind, the Embassy set up an exhibition of artworks by the Centre’s protégés, with the aim of raising funds for their excellent work via a silent auction of the exhibited pieces.

The starting price for each piece was either 7,000 or 12,000 dinars.

Guests included members of the diplomatic corps and figures from Serbia’s culture and academic scenes, as well as representatives of business organisations.
