The Islamic Revolution, also known as the Iranian Revolution, occurred in 1979 when the Islamic Republic replaced the shah’s royal monarchy in the country.

The event is celebrated as the National Day of Iran.

Ambassador Abdollahi welcomed guests to the reception at Belgrade Hyatt Regency Hotel and used his address to highlight the importance of good bilateral relations between Serbia and Iran.

The reception was attended by representatives of religious communities, members of the diplomatic corps and other personalities from public and cultural life.
